An outreach program Community Health Foundation helps provide area churches with critical life-saving equipment and education.   The Clark County Combined Health District, Springfield Regional Medical Center/Mercy Health and the faith nursing program provide AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and emergency cardiac training to area churches and their members.

An AED is a portable medical device that analyzes a person’s heart rhythm during cardiac arrest and, if necessary, delivers an electrical shock or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

This funding supports CHF’s health equity outreach.
