Reproductive Health Education
Community Health Foundation is one of several providers of reproductive health education in the greater Springfield / Urbana community. Our curriculum is tailored to the needs of the individual school districts, and developed in collaboration with administrative staff and faculty of each school where it is offered. We offer a comprehensive curriculum with a primary abstinence message, that seeks to reduce the incidence of risk-taking sexual behaviors, lower teen pregnancy rates, and reduce the number of sexually transmitted infections among teens. Breast Check Program
Community Health Foundation works closely with Mercy Health to coordinate mammography screenings for uninsured and under-insured women. Dawn Naill, coordinator at the Springfield Regional Cancer Center is available to answer questions at (937) 523-9330.
A physician’s order is no longer necessary for a woman to receive a mammogram, and thanks to the new mobile mammography van recently acquired by Community Mercy Health Partners, area women are now able to easily access early detection of breast cancer. Find a mobile screening event near you at www.mercy.com/SpringfieldMobileMammo.
Women seeking mammograms are asked to register for screenings by calling (937) 328-8100.
