The first Girl Scout club was established on March 12, 1912, in Savannah Georgia. Today, there are Girl Scouts, past and present, around the world who live the Girl Scout slogan to do a good turn daily. There is a Girl Scout club available to girls in grades K-12; the clubs are designed to help girls make lifelong friendships, discover their strengths, and explore new possibilities. Scouts are encouraged to find adventure, have fun, give back, and lead your way.

Community Health Foundation provided a grant to Girl Scouts of Western Ohio to help fund the Springfield Girls’ Outdoor Weekend Camp. The girls who attended camp built their confidence, learned relationship skills, and learned to take reasonable risks while enjoying the outdoor adventures the camp offered.
