All services at USS are for people 55 years of age or older.

Health Screenings / Heart Disease - Early Detection: Blood pressure screenings offered to individuals 55 years or older. 

Caring Services: provides assessments of needs. 

Exercise and Fitness: Provides numerous exercise options including but not limited to fitness room, warm water pool, hula, dancing, stretch and strengthen, Keep Dancin', Moving to Music, Focus on Fitness, Zumba Gold, Yoga, Tai Chi, cycling club. 

Fitness and Mobility - Senior Living: A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. Offered in partnership with Goodwill/Easter Seals Miami Valley, A Matter of Balance includes eight two-hour sessions for a small group led by a trained facilitator. During the class, participants learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risk at home and exercise to increase strength and balance.

Exercise Classes: USS offers a wide variety of recreation and fitness classes, including: Aquatics, Tai Chi, Pickleball, Keep Movin, Moving to Music, Chair Volleyball, Urban Line Dancing, Focus on Fitness, Yoga, Zumba Gold, Hula. Call for days and times of specific classes. Fitness center on site. 

Transportation: Provides transportation for necessary appointments Monday through Friday throughout Clark County. This includes dialysis and chemotherapy. Transportation is available 6am to 6pm for medical appointments. To make an appointment please call United Senior Services at 521-3000  and ask for transportation. A two week notice is appreciated for in town appointments. Four weeks notice is appreciated for doctor appointments out of town. Transportation for banking appointments and grocery runs are also available in the same manner.

Support Groups and Social Supports: Congregate and home delivered meals; transportation for medical appointments, grocery and essential errands; benefits assistance service; recreation programs including bingo, art/music/dance, billiards, book group, garden club, board games, photography club, potlucks, trips and tours. 

Prevention Groups: Small and large group activities for seniors who have become isolated because of limited mobility or other chronic conditions. USS professionals lead groups on outings, education and activities that promote socialization and provide tools for coping with issues associated with aging. Referrals accepted. Eligibility determined by assessment.

Parkinson's Support Group: for people with Parkinson's meets the second Tuesday of each month. USS also offers exercise classes for the group every Tuesday and Thursday from 2pm-3pm. 

Medicare: United Senior Services is a certified site for the Ohio Department of Insurance Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP).  Trained staff provide information for Medicare, Medicare supplemental insurance policies, Medicare savings programs, prescription assistance including: enrolling in Medicare Part D and accessing additional drug benefits.  Assists with obtaining a health care power of attorney and living will; handles Medicare appeals and provides help understanding medical bills and benefits.  Service is available in the home for homebound individuals.

Diabetes - Education and Prevention: Offers Healthy U, an evidence-based program for chronic pain, chronic disease and diabetes offered in partnership with the Area Agency on Aging.  These three community based workshops help participants learn strategies to manage their health conditions and live healthier, happier lives.
