Food Assistance: Administers food stamp program based on income eligibility. Screening process by phone or walk in to determine need. Serves Champaign County residents only.
Adoption Services: Adoption assessor activities include birthparent counseling, post adoptive services, referrals to resources, adoption home study completion for families who are residents of Champaign county and seeking to adopt special needs children.
Child Care Assistance: Financial assistance to cover child care costs of low income families that are employed, in an approved work activity and/or attending education or training to maintain employment. This department also certifies day care providers who provide services through subsidized child care programs.

The following Medicaid managed care plans are available in Clark and Champaign county as well as all of the West Central Region of Ohio: Buckeye Health, CareSource, Molina, Paramount Advantage and United Health Care.
To apply for Medicaid you need to provide your social security number or proof that an application for a social security number has been submitted; proof of income and list of resources, proof of pregnancy (if applicable) proof of US citizenship and information about other medical coverage (if any).
