The Americorps Seniors RSVP at United Senior Services engages and encourages older adults in volunteering in the community to share their expertise and passion for various organizations and causes. Community Health Foundation responsive grant funding helps support the ongoing program.
In the last year, 452 RSVP participants reported more than 74,000 volunteer hours serving a variety of non-profit organizations in our community. United Senior Services surveyed the volunteers and 99% of them rated the program as good or excellent and believe their work is valuable to the community. In addition, they report satisfaction with their volunteer efforts and with the available volunteer opportunities and they feel RSVP is a worthwhile program.
