The Open Hands Free Pantry provides supplemental food boxes to families threatened with food insecurity in Springfield and Clark County. The boxes include hygiene items in addition to food and are provided at no charge to qualified clients. In addition, every client receives a $5 coupon voucher to use at a Goodwill thrift store location in Springfield. The Open Hands Free Pantry recently moved to a new location at the First Seventh Day Adventist Church at 151 S. Bird Road. They are open on Tuesdays from 10 am – noon and on Thursdays from 2 -4 pm.
Community Health Foundation provides operating support for the free pantry which served 12,067 persons and 4,515 households in the last year.
