Project Woman of Ohio is dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault by providing services and programs to protect, educate and empower. Community Health Foundation supports the organization with funding for its community advocacy and education programs.
Recently, Project Woman featured the “What were you wearing?” exhibit at the Clark County Public Library to raise visibility for sexual assault awareness month. The exhibit shared sexual assault survivor
stories from over 50 persons in the Clark County area. The purpose of the exhibit is to encourage conversation about rape culture and to support survivors who come forward. Laura Baxter, the executive director for Project Woman, shared the exhibit “evokes thoughtfulness and illustrates the reality of sexual assault as opposed to myths and stereotypes that are still too frequently taken as truth.”
