CHF supported this program with a grant of $9,000. They recently shared one participant’s experience with the program’s support group. When James first attended Citizen Circle, he was just released from incarceration and felt overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of where to start. At his first meeting, he stayed quiet, but as he listened to others share their stories, he began to feel a sense of belonging. Over time, James opened up and connected with resources through the group. He enrolled in an employment program, secured a fulltime job, and received help managing his anxiety. Today, James is a regular at Citizen Circle, encouraging others and sharing his journey.
